“Beyond Rare Earth Magnets: Design, Prototyping and Testing of High-Performance Electric Motors with Rare-Earth Free Niron Magnets”
Abstract:
In response to supply-chain risks and sustainability challenges linked to rare-earth materials, we will present the development of rare-earth-free electric motors using innovative magnets by NIRON company.
The presentation covers the design, prototyping, and testing of motors for compressors, pumps, and powertrain applications, focusing on industrial performance, manufacturability, and system integration. Test results demonstrate competitive performances compared to conventional rare-earth-based solutions, but offering important advantages in terms of sustainability and supply chain stability.
These results confirm the industrial readiness of rare-earth-free magnet motors as a scalable alternative for next-generation electric drive systems.
